Petals floated softly down like snowy feathers,

To silently embrace the earth with  furtive frozen kisses.

Things familiar shyly shape-shifted,  huddling under cover; to hide undiscovered until thaw time.

So, winter blossom  fell with the falling night to lovingly transform the commonplace into the wondrous.
